Pictures of The Whalley Wine Shop
Yes, there’s just 4 days left of our California Promotion. We’ve had some great fun with it, the store has been decked out with USA bunting, USA and California Flags, and images of Uncle Sam. And we’ve had loads of sensational Californian Wines in-store, with all the wines in our ‘By The Glass’ machine being Californian. What’s more we have a fantastic offer on the go, 10% off any 6 Californian Wines (not already on offer). This is as well as having surfboards in the window, and Beach Boys music wafting in your ears!!
Here’s one or two pics…
Took some snaps of our new hanging baskets and planters to support the Whalley in Bloom initiative and make our village look absolutely wonderful!…
The competitive cooking show Come Dine With Me is back for a new series of dinner party action. Every week, five strangers take it in turns to throw a dinner party – and the best host wins a cash prize! This week the competitors are from East Lancashire and feature some of our customers!
If you watch the programme tonight (Weds) you’ll see it’s Chris’s turn to throw a dinner party, and during filming they shot some sequences at The Whalley Wine Shop. It’s on Channel 4 at 5.30pm. Or you can watch it later on Channel 4′s website 4OD playback facility. Here are some pics of the filming back in September.
Here are some views of the shop, taken by photographer Andrew Woodhouse, showing just how effective black and white imagery can be…..
Thanks to all our customers and suppliers for making our first NIGHT OF 100 WINES so fantastic. All the feedback we have received has been so positive that we will making it an annual event! Here’s some pics…

We had a really enjoyable and successful day yesterday at the Clitheroe Food Festival. Lots of customers visiting our stand, very busy all day, and the rain managed to stay away, and best of all we sold out of all our stock! Thanks to everyone who came and said hello, we all had an excellent day!
Good day today as all parties gave us the go ahead to extend the selling space in the shop by reclaiming an area that was being used for storage. This means we will be able to bring in more wines, strengthen some of the regions, bring in wines from new countries, and generally give our customers an even wider choice of excellent wines.
We’ll be making it happen as soon as is physically possible, so watch this space for details as soon as we firm up our ranges! Exciting stuff!
