We are delighted to have opened our second shop this week. Its at Huntley’s Country Stores, the farm shop complex, on the A59 at Samlesbury, just opposite BAE.
We will be offering a range full of proven Whalley Wine Shop favourites. A good selection of reds and whites from both old and new worlds, Fizz, Gins, Whiskies, Ports, Craft Beers and plenty more. We won’t however be selling wines ‘By The Glass’ for the time being at least. Although there will always be a bottle open for you to have a taste of something nice!
There’s plenty going on at Huntley’s and if you haven’t been for a while then it’s definitely worth popping in. We are situated in the main food hall. Many will already be familiar with the location as it was previously the home of Barrica Wines. The food hall is excellent with a butchers, bakers, fishmongers and deli, and there are also other outlets including Ladybugs the florist, Love Jewellery, The Beauty Shed, and clothing outlet Edge of the World. There’s a restaurant where you can get a delicious bite to eat and a superb ice cream counter too! And there’s lots more to do and plenty of events going on. Check out their website here… http://www.huntleys.co.uk/about/
To begin with the shop will be manned by Tom and we are delighted to have recruited Alison Brown to help us get up and running. You may remember Alison as the proprietor of The Glass House at Stydd Gardens in Ribchester.
We will be open there 6 days a week, closing on Mondays. The opening hours will be 10am to 6pm every day except Sunday where we close at 4.30pm. Please do pop in and say hello.
