8 Fabulous Wines available ‘By The Glass’ in January

This month, once again, we have 8 superb wines available By The Glass. Our selection has the theme of ‘Brothers and Sisters’ where we have chosen a red and a white from the same producer. We have 4 pairs of wine from New Zealand, France, Australia and South Africa, across a variety of grapes. Here are the wines that you can buy ‘by the glass’ up to 10pm every single night of the week. There are very few places where you can sample fine wines between £15 and £38 a bottle, and The Whalley Wine Shop is one of them!

Which wine has least calories? Which wine on a diet?

This is one of the questions we get asked a lot at this time of year, as many of us try to shed those extra pounds we added during the Christmas festivities.

Here’s just a couple of suggestions.

Bella by Invivo Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2011

30% less alcohol. 30% less calories.
30% less alcohol.
30% less calories.

Bella by Invivo has 30% less alcohol and 30% fewer calories than a typical Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, and is absolutely gorgeous too! Fresh cut pineapple and passionfruit with hints of greengage plums and racy limes hit both nose and palate. A soft, full textured mouth-feel and pleasing balance leave the palate both awakened and refreshed. Bella by Invivo is deceptive in its power and has great length without requiring high alcohol, using fruit intensity as the backbone to its structure. This delicious wine will accompany a wide range of cuisines and excel with light salads and pasta dishes. Bella by Invivo has only a 9.5% ABV and is available at The Whalley Wine Shop for £10.99
