The Night of 100 Wines – We have about 20 tickets remaining for The Night of 100 Wines which is a week on Friday. If you haven’t been before, The Night of 100 Wines is our popular summer wine tasting held at Whalley Village Hall. It’s where 10 of our suppliers each bring 10 different fine wines for you to taste, so you get to try up to 100 different wines from all over the world, all for just £10. It’s a super wine tasting traditionally held on the Friday of August Bank Holiday Weekend, this year that date is Friday August 23rd. And it starts at 6pm.

If you would like to bag one or more of these tickets, you can do so by emailing or simply by replying to this email. Alternatively you can ring the shop directly on 01254 822581 or just pop into the shop. If you have already reserved tickets and haven’t collected them yet, could you collect them soon please. Thank you.

Tom is walking The West Highland Way.…dressed as Yoda!! – Tom and his old school friend Adam are walking The West Highland Way, a 96 mile walk up the west coast of Scotland from Glasgow to Fort William. It is not the easiest terrain and they have chosen to tackle it just as midges and mosquitoes are in season! The route is commonly walked in seven to eight days, although many fitter and more experienced walkers do it in five or six. Despite being neither fitter or more experienced they have chosen to walk it in 6 days! On top of all this they are doing it in fancy dress! Their efforts are geared towards raising funds for the North West Air Ambulance. Tom has a target of raising £1000. He has currently raised £665 on his just giving page so he is two-thirds of the way there…!. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE SUPPORT SO FAR.

There are a number of ways you can support Tom.
1. Visit his just giving page at: and donate online. Don’t forget to tick the gift aid box if you are a UK tax payer.
2. Text yoda96 £5 to 70070 to donate £5.
3. Visit the The Whalley Wine Shop and complete a sponsorship form.
4. We also have a raffle for a three course meal for two at the fabulous Parkers Arms, Newton in Bowland at £2 a strip.

We hope you can support the North West Air Ambulance and help Tom achieve his £1000 target.
