Toms Fundraising Total. – It’s nearly 3 weeks since Tom returned from The Sahara desert having completed the Marathon Des Sables – a series of 6 marathons in 6 days described as ‘the toughest footrace on Earth’. Not only did he complete it but he finished in 466th place out of 1358 competitors. A remarkable effort for someone who’d never run a marathon before. Tom initially set out to raise £3000 for charity. But due to the amazing kindness and generosity of our customers and of friends and family, he is currently at £5,760 with some sponsorship still to come in. The money is being shared between 3 charities as follows….Cancer Research UK £3000. Gurkha Welfare Trust £1400. PHAB in Whalley £1360. Well done Tom, we’re all proud of you.

If you would like to add a last minute donation and maybe get it above £6000 please go to his just giving page at http://www.justgiving.com/teams/tomjonesmds or text 70070 and put TMDS85 and the amount of your donation. Thank you.
